Cooking at Smith-Berry Winery We do all of the cooking for our dinner and concert series. We raise some of the food we serve ourselves. We’ve gardened organically since we moved here in 1981 and continue to do so. What we don’t raise ourselves we buy as close to home as possible.
We can now get a lot of the produce we need in Henry County. We make good use of The Henry County Farmers’ Market that is held every Saturday morning on the courthouse lawn in New Castle. Chuck buys meat for grilling from Kentucky producers who ethically raise their animals. We cook for events the way we have always cooked for our family, using old family recipes and ingredients that represent a real, local economy.
